Endcaps: Installation Pictorial

 

Threaded (Rigid) Endcap

 

Smooth (EMT) Endcap

Threaded Endcaps are available in 1 - 2 - 4 inch sizes. They come in sets of two. Each Endcap has intumescent putty for when the sleeve is brought back in to service. EMT Endcaps are available in 1 - 2 - 4 inch sizes. Intumescent putty is included.
A (rigid) Threaded Penetrator with abandoned cables. A (rigid) Threaded Penetrator with abandoned cables.
Remove the cables and clean up the ends of the sleeve system. After the cables are removed, place the EMT Endcap on the ends of the abandoned EMT system.
Leave the protective wax paper in the Endcap to keep the intumescent from contamination. Tighten the set screws.
Screw the Endcap on the end of the abandoned threaded sleeve until the Endcap seats by hand. Do not over tighten. An abandoned and reclaimed system.
Take a picture of your sealed system. Remember - you may use the intumescent putty when sleeve system is put back in service.
